New Cards For A Cure project!

This is my latest project for Cards for a Cure!
I started Cards for a Cure as a way to raise funds for different charitable organizations, national and local. I created this particular card for a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
These 2 little girls.

Here is a little about them:

These precious sisters are Ginger & Piper. After meeting Greg and marrying him, they became family to me. They have Cystic Fibrosis. There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. These babies are two of them. There are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I created this card for them and hope you will support me in my efforts of raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in their honor.

These girls were at my wedding reception and I cannot tell you how happy it made me to see them running and jumping and having a good time. This is how it should be. But these girls have to fight infection, undergo breathing treatments and endure so much for their age. And their Mama and Daddy are right by their sides.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By ordering a card today, you are helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? These little angels deserve MANY more tomorrows!

Rock Star T-shirt!

Whipped this card up tonight as I was trying to come up with a 3rd project for my Stamp Club gathering on Saturday. I was watching TV but could not get the idea of a t-shirt card out of my head, so I headed to my craft room to get busy!

If you haven't already guessed, I used the onesie framelit from the Baby's First Framelits set to create the t-shirt. Just cut of the bottom. I went to my old standby of red, white and blue. I knew I wanted the t-shirt to say Rock Star so I got out one of my favorite new sets, Be The Star. I just can't get enough of this set! After making this card, I am envisioning this same layout in other colors: pink & black, purple and silver. And you can create all kinds of t-shirts for all kinds of occasions!
How fun is that?

If you are attending stamp club on Saturday, you will be making this card!

More fun stuff from Summertime Paper Craft Party!

Here is a cute little gift card holder/birthday card that I created from our Gift Card Enclosure Envelopes.  I used the new stamp set "Tag Talk" which is actually becoming one of my favorites.
These envelopes measure 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" and have 4 slots in them to hold a standard size gift card.
I decided to turn this one into a little slider greeting card. I used the Hardwood BG stamp on the Very Vanilla insert, stamped in Pistachio Pudding. The belly band around the outside is a strip of Pistachio Pudding card stock that is layered with the new Venetian Crochet Trim.  The whole envelope is embossed with the new folder, Lovely Lace.

That's all for today!

More projects from our Summertime PaperCraft Party!

Good morning!
Hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July weekend!
We spent a lot of time in the pool, saw an awesome concert & fireworks show and then capped off the weekend with the 50th birthday celebration of a dear friend.

I thought the card below would be a perfect one to share today, as it is very patriotic.
This one was designed by Ruby and features the Work of Art stamp set, which is so very versatile.
The sentiment really sums up the image: a thousand thanks to those that protect and serve our country.

The next set of cards are a couple of 3x3 gift enclosure cards that I designed and they feature the Something for Baby Stamp Set and Baby's First Framelits. I was so happy to see these in the new catalog. The little onesie image and necktie just make me smile. I love how they can be cut out with the matching framelit. I have many plans for this set and can't wait to share with you some of the creations that I have in mind.

Peace, Love & Cupcakes is the name of the set used on the following card:

This card I actually cased from the catalog with a few minor modifications. I thought it was a great way to showcase this set and it just made one darned cute card!

I have 6 more projects to share with you from this fun event as well as some pictures of our prizes, gifts and friends.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time ~

The above card is my design and it featured the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set.

The owl card was designed by Ruby and features the stamp set, So Very Happy.

The above card is my design and featured the stamp set, Be The Star. I also snuck in the swoosh image from Work Of Art.

Work of Art!

I love Stampin' Up! Now, I'm sure that this is no secret to anyone that follows my blog or knows me, but I just have to say it again.  And I'll tell you why: A couple of weeks ago, my downline and I attended the 2014-2015 SU Catalog Premiere in Sacramento and it was wonderful! We had a nice little road trip, caught up with each other over lunch, did a little shopping and the settled in to the local movie theater for the big catalog reveal! It was amazing! So much fun with my girls!

In addition to a big screen tour of the new catalog and receiving our advance copy, SU also gifted us with one of the upcoming stamp sets in the catalog: Work of Art! I love how they always provide us with FREE product, gifts, incentives and wonderful discounts. Makes my passion/job so much easier!

I used my free stamp set to design a little card for my Stamp Tramps at our National Scrapbooking Day gathering and here it is!

So simple to create using the giant watercolor swoosh stamp that is in the set! The color combo for the project was Early Espresso, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush. I just added a few butterflies using my punches and a few of our fabulous adhesive rhinestones. Simple, yet stunning!

My big box of sneak peek goodies from SU arrived a couple of days ago and I can't wait to share what else I have created using all of those new fun items!

You are gonna love the new catalog, might be the best one yet!
