Diaper Fold Pouch

Here is my version of the diaper fold pouch that was featured on SplitCoastStampers a few weeks ago. This will pouch will hold a prize for games to be played at a baby shower that I am co-hosting for my sister friend, Sandra. The colors for the shower are soft sky, baha breeze, cholcolate chip, creamy caramel and copper. The theme is "Feather the Nest" and I will post more pics of the favors, etc later this week. The prize that will go in this pouch is a cd of songs with the words "baby" or "child" in the title. Gotto go now. Demo meeting later that I need to prepare for. BYE!

Hey there Sock Monkey!

Wow, that was a lot of stuff to make that cute little card! I got tired just typing it all. Time to help Natalie with her homework and load the dishwasher. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Projects from Stamp Club/Catalog Party

Thanks to everyone that attended last Saturday's Stamp Club/Catalog Party! Here are the projects that we made. The first is a "box in a bag" made with the gorgeous new Bella Rose DSP. We also used the new scalloped edge punch to make the rick-rack looking trim at the base.
I had seen this project on various blogs but had not attemped it yet. Thankfully, my upline Kim taught it to her stamp club girls (of which I am one) at our Hostess Appreciation Night last Monday. Thanks, Kim, for always sharing such wonderful ideas!

The second project is this adorable butterfly card made with the brand new "Dreams du Jour" and "Heard from the Heart" Stamp Sets from the Fall/Winter Catalog as well as Bella Rose DSP and Pirouette Pink, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze In-Color Cardstock. This design was CASE's\d from a wonderful cardmaker, Kris, at her blog Kween Bee Creations. http://kweenbee.typepad.com Please check it out for more wonderful ideas! Sorry I have been away so long, things have gotten a bit hectic at home with the kids starting school last monday and such. Had some PC problems as well. Last weekend was pretty busy with Stamp Club, back to school shopping and a wonderful visit from cousins, Adam & Val and their adorable little girl Kaylee. What a cutie pie! Check out the little lady right here:

Hopefully, I am now back to regular posting. I wanted to get this post in before I got busy for the weekend. I have to finish up some Baby Shower Projects for my sister-friend Sandra's baby shower next Sunday as well as some swaps for a demo meeting the day before. I will share more later. Have a super Saturday!

Huge Product Announcement from SU!

Stampin' Up! just announced that they will be offering the Sizzix Big Shot ($99.95) and exclusive Stampin' Up! dies (prices vary) for customers beginning September 2. This powerful gizmo (and 6-time winner of Creating Keepsakes Reader's Choice Award) manually die cuts, embosses, cuts through card stock, Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper, plastic, chipboard and fabric (think pillow appliqués, quilting and clothing décor) and even pops out boxes and scalloped envelope templates with perfect fold (scored) lines in place (using the crease pad). There has been specualtion for some time that something like this would happen and it finally has. There is even a gorgeous little tote bag to carry it around in! You should see some of the projects that were demonstrated at convention with this niftly little gizmo. I, myself, have never owned a die cut machine, but it appears that now I MUST have one! I wonder if I can get it here in time for Stamp Club?

Wish I was at convention!

Look at some of the goodies that were available for purchase at the Stampin' Up! convention this year....yes that is the new Fall/Winter Catalog at the bottom of the picture! That Kiwi Kiss shirt is absolutely adorable but I just love, love, love that supply tote!!!! The print on the tote is actually from one of our new Designer Series Papers, Maine Blueberry. The smaller bag is a camera bag. How cute is that? Today a huge announcement was made regarding a new product that will be available from Stampin' Up! I will post a picture of that new product tomorrow! Stay tuned...........
