Recipe swaps made by sisters

Good morning stampers!
Here are 2 more recipe swaps made by my friends Kathy and Linda. They are 2 ladies that I met through Stamp Club and they are so much fun to spend time with. They are new to our recipe swap and we are so happy to have them join us. Their recipes were so tasty!. Kathy made the Apricot Wraps with a delicious dipping sauce and Linda made her Heavenly Artichoke Niblets. They were both so yummy. I am sure that you can tell by their recipe swaps that they are both fans of the Big Shot. The large scallop circle, butterfy and embossed flower were all die cut with that awesome little machine and gave their swaps a fresh, spring-y feel. Great job ladies!

More Recipe Swaps

Hello Stampers!
Today I have another recipe swap to share with you. This one was made by my good friend Tia.
If you follow my blog, you are familiar with Tia's work. She always goes the extra mile on her recipe swaps and this time was no exceptions. She used the stamp set that she received free from Stampin' Up! for being part of a focus group. It is called Playful Petals and includes some really neat flower images. She also used one of my favorite Big Shot dies, Beautiful Butterflies, as well as the Manhattan Flower Impressions Die. She embossed some pieces with the Texturz Plates and then used the Eyelet Border Punch on them, which added a really nice touch. The colors of this layout were perfect for the swap because they are really Spring-like and they even matched the tablecloth that Tia had on her table!
The tarts that she made were very light and tasty and are perfect for a summer picnic or celebration like a bridal or baby shower. They are pictured above and if you click on the swap pic, you can read the recipe for yourself. That's all for now, gotta prep for today's class! Have a great Saturday and enjoy this beautiful (California) weather!

A different kind of swap tonight!

Today was a very happy mail day for me! I got my MISS May Swaps back today and they are simply beautiful. My stampin' friend Jeanna has started a monthly swap by mail and the cards that I have received so far have been outstanding. Gorgeous designs, color combos and very high quality work. Jeanna has been so kind to put together a slide show of our swaps to share, so if you would like to take a look. click here:

The stamp set that was featured for my group was "Trendy Trees" and all of the cards were so nice! I was also pleased to learn that one of my fellow Imprints downline members joined the same group as me so I was lucky enough to receive one of her cards! Hi Lorraine!

So grab a glass of iced tea or a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy the show!

More recipe swaps

Hi Stampers!
I am back after a bit of a blogging break. Hope you are all enjoying the 3 day weekend. I am just relaxing and doing NOTHING and it is FABULOUS!
Anyway, back to our recipe swap share. This recipe was made by Amanda and her card was a great utilization of all of the Sale-a-bration stuff that she got free. The Designer Series Paper, stamp set and ribbon were all free items that Amanda earned during SAB and the great thing is, they all coordinate, so it made putting her page together very easy! She also added some flowers and pearls from the Pretties Kit. And check out this picture of her recipe! What a beautiful presentation! Her dish was so pretty, I almost did not want to eat it, but it was very tasty and I love asparagus. I thought this recipe would be great for a shower or summer birthday party because it is just so darn pretty (and very easy to make)! Great job Amanda!

A little break...

Tonight there will be a break from regular programming so the blog creator can give 100% full attention to the American Idol finals. I love both remaining contestants, so I don't care who wins, but I just have to see it now!....Make sure you watch the finale tomorrow night, as Kris will be performing with one of my all time fave singers...Keith Urban! WooHoo!

Saturday Night Recipe Swap part 3

Hello Stampers!
Here is another awesome recipe!
This dish and card was made by my upline and very good friend, Kim. I love how she heat embossed the image from the "Upsy Daisy" Stamp set. She did this by using Tempting Turquoise Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder. She printer her recipe on the Top Note Die Cut (made with the Big Shot) and added some ribbon and polka dots to finish off the adorable look. This artichoke dip was delicious, by the way, as were the flaxseed chips that she got at Trader Joe's. They taste good and are healthy for you as well (full of fiber... ;-D). This recipe makes a great party appetizer or for when you just want to have something yummy! As you can tell from the picture, we could not wait to sample it ourselves!

Saturday Night Recipe Swaps Part 2

Hello stampers:
Check out this awesome recipe swap made by my BFF and downline, Ruby Johnson. I love the "Parisian Breeze" Textured DSP that she used and how she incorporated some very popular elements such as the Top Note Die Cut, Scallop Circle Punch and Eyelet Border Punch. Isn't that Satin Ribbon awesome? We are currently featuring that ribbon in our Occasions Mini Catalog in Whisper White, but you can die it any color you want by running it across your ink pad a few times. Now these peanut butter cookies were very tasty, but look below to see how Ruby showcased them (as well as some yummy brownies)!

Isn't this gorgeous. I gotta tell you, when Ruby pulled this creation out of her bag, all of our mouths fell open! She hand stamped the paper tray (purchased in the cake decorating section of Jo-Ann's), the plastic bags (SU!) and used our daisy and butterfly dies to make add color and dimension to the arrangement. She made 2 of these and gave one to our swap hostess, Tia. She was also kind enough to recreate one for our Stamp Camp the following weekend and one lucky winner got to take it home. More on that in a later post.

My friend is really one talented stamper, so if you are in the Modesto area, look her up (here is a link to her SU! site) http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/rubyslife/.

You can clock on either pic to get a closer look!

I also want to give a special thanks to my demo friend Niki, she gave me a very nice mention on her blog yesterday and I haven't had a chance to send her a thanks, so I will do it here, as I know she is a follower. I loved your scrapbook page, Niki! Great job, as always!
Check out Niki's awesome blog here:

Niki updates her blog every day and she recently won an award for it at our last demo meeting! Way to go, Niki!

Saturday Night Recipe Swaps Part 1

As promised here is part 1 of the recipe swaps that we did a few weeks ago. Eleven of us met at Tia's, swapped our pages and then had an awesome feast! Our theme was "Easy Appetizers", which is one of my favorites. This first swap is the one that I made, and the picture on top is what the actual recipe looks like. I got this recipe from my mom. She makes this for our Christmas Eve party every year and it is a favorite. We are lucky to even get any because Natalie always gobbles them up. You can click on the swap picture to get a closer look at the recipe.
Supplies used:
Basic Gray Textured 12x12 card stock (for the base). I stamped the tropical looking flower from "Fifth Avenue Floral" in Kiwi Kiss on Kiwi Kiss CS. I added a couple of strips from the coordination "Urban Oasis" DSP, punched some "Layered Flowers" from my Big Shot, using Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Basic Black. I used the stretchy black ribbon from "Valet" Ribbon Originals and topped it off with a Silver Jumbo Brad. I like the modern feel to this design and I love the color combo. I will miss Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze when they retire next month!
Come back tomorrow for another recipe page and picture!

Saturday Night Recipe Swap Sneak Peek

A special treat made by Ruby!

All of the swaps on Tia's pretty new tablecloth!

A small peek at our recipe swaps!
Hello Stampers!
I am back after a short hiatus (recipe swap, mail swap, stamp camp, stamp club) I have been one busy girl and it is not letting up any time soon! May is a busy month for my stamping business so my posts have kind of been few and far between. But here is a little sneak peak of the upcoming posts for this week. A few Saturdays ago, The Stamp Tramps got together to swap some recipe pages and eat some darn tasty food. This time I took pics of all of the recipes and the actual food! You are in for a treat. This is just a small glance of what is to come in the next several days. After I share all of the recipes, I will share pictures from last weekend's Spring Stamp-a-rama! Stay tuned!

My card for the "MISS" April Swap

Last month I participated in a swap hosted by fellow demonstrator Jeanna Bohanon of Nevada.
This is my card that I made, the theme was the "Thoughts & Prayers" stamp set. I have to say, this is absolutely the best swap-by-mail that I have ever participated in and I signed up for May as well. This is just one of my cards, I also created a card for "Just Buzzin' By" which you will see tomorrow. If you want to check out the rest of the swap cards, and you will, because they are gorgeous and the craftmanship of these cards is awesome, just hop on over to Jeanna's Blog:
http://stamptimesomewhere.typepad.com/stamp_time_somewhere/2009/04/miss-april-swap-thoughts-and-prayers.html I am very pleased with the swaps that I received. Thanks Jeanna, for hosting such a fantastic swap and I cannot wait for the next one!
