New Designer Series Papers!

Rockabilly! Designer Series Paper.
How cool is this? I just love that Stampin' Up! is keeping up with the trends! This is paper that my 17 yr old daughter would love. She always says that stamping is for "old" ladies like me. Well, thank you SU! for making me feel young again! If you haven't received your new catalog, just give me a shout: lexyjulz1@aol.com. Remember, if you join stamp club or hostess a workshop your catalog ($9.95 Retail) is FREE! If you haven't hosted a workshop or joined stamp club but are a customer of mine, the catty is just $5.00. What a deal for a 208 page idea book!

Together

Another wall hanging that I made a few months back. I used chipboard coasters and SU! "Summer Home" Simply Scrappin' Kit. This is to hang in my bedroom when it has been painted. These are going to be the colors that I decorate with. Thanks for looking!

Another Love You Much Bundle Card

So here is another card using the "Love You Much Bundle" (aka LYM). Color combo is Riding Hood Red, Kraft, Very Vanilla and a dash of Chocolate Chip (taffeta ribbon). I ran the Kraft CS thru my Big Shot using an embossing plate to get the polka dot effect. (Only 2 more days and this item is available from SU!) I added a polka dotted piece of DSP from the LYM Bundle and then stamped the large heart (also from LYM). The scallop and hearts were also stamped and punched from same bundle. I added some chunky glitter to the Regal Rose CS mat behind the heart and topped everything off with a Filigree Flower Brad. You can also see that i highlighted the little dots on the scallop with my trusty white gel pen. Every girl must have one! So in the LYM Bundle you get lots of materials to create lots of design elements for your cards, so it is totally worth the purchase and you can get it until January 31 at a super discount of $10.00 off. Just click the pick on the upper left of this page for more details. Gotta go, my baby turns 10 this weekend and today is her pizza/movie party!

Just wanted to share very quickly what I found in the dollar spot at Target! How cute are those cupcake gift boxes? I bought the clipboards to use for order forms at workshops and the bottom pic is of some really cute desk organizers. The ones in the back are for magazines. My New Year Resolution is to get my craft room organized! Now if only my bad back will cooperate!
Dontcha just love the cute little birdies on the mag holders and pen organizers. Ya gotta love the $1 Spot at Target!

Some More Raspberry Tart!

Hello all! I am back after a short hiatus due to some more back pain drama. There are so many things that I want and need to do but my old-lady back won't let me. I feel a bit better today (Thanks to Dr. R. and some awesome muscle relaxer pills!)
This is a Thank You card that I made a few weeks ago using the new Raspberry Tart DSP, Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set, Scalloped Square and 1 1/4" Circle Punches. The base is Rose Red CS layered with Whisper White. Ribbon is Regal Rose 5/8" grosgrain and I added a little Kiwi Kiss Flower Bouquet Button with a rhinestone brad in the center for a splash of contrast.
Oh yeah, got my demo copy of the new catalog and, OMG, it is so awesome! I cannot wait to share all of the new goodies with y'all! Tons of gorgeous new stamp sets, I was really pleased. It will be really hard to pick what to order. The accessories are irresistable, but the big news is all of the new Sizzix Dies for the Big Shot. We will now carry the die for the big butterfly that was featured on the cover of the Fall/Winter catty! That will be my first purchase, well, that and some new stamps, new DSP, new brads, buttons, chipboard......you crazy stampers know what it is like!

Always......

So anyone that knows me well knows that I just love, love, love bird images. Which is why this stamp set, "Always" is my favorite. When I first laid eyes on the new "Raspberry Tart" DSP I cold envision my bird on that paper. I put my vision to work and these 2 cards are what I came up with. The card above features the color combo of Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss and Regal Rose, but it also features......CONTRABAND!!!! What is CONTRABAND you ask? CONTRABAND is Non-SU! product. I have really tried hard to keep this blog geared toward SU! product exclusively but this layout was just screaming for an embossed background. I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder "Floral Fantasy" which I ran thru my SU Big Shot. The little leave branches are punched with a Martha Stewart punch from the M store. I know, I know, it is CONTRABAND as well, but it just looks so pretty with the bird! Soon SU will have it's own embossing plates but I didn't just put that on my blog did I? Oops! I also used our scallope edge punch on the DSP and topped everything off with our Filigree Flower Brad and Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon.
The card below uses basically the same color combo but I added our Boho Blooms Background Stamp and sponged the edge of the Whisper White CS with Kiwi Kiss. One neat little thing that I added was Pink Taffeta Ribbon that I stamped with Rose Red ink using the branch image from the "Always" set. All of our Taffeta Ribbons take ink very well, so you can pretty much stamp anything you want on them. I again cheated and used the MS Branch punch but you won't tell, right? That's it for today....Hope my new catty arrives soon so I can share with all of you!

Love You Much....again!

Here is another card made with the new "Love You Much" Valentines Bundle that is currently on sale! (Click the pic to the right for more info.) I used Real Red, Very Vanilla and Kraft CS, Candy Lane DSP, Real Red and Regal Rose Ink, Pretty In Pink and Real Red Markers, and silver brads. The cute little envelope is our Sizzix Scalloped Envelope Die. The hearts inside, the background hearts and the scallop on the front were stamped with the "Love You Much" stamp set. I just love this set because it is great for Valentine's Day but you can also use it for birthdays as well as anniversary cards. This set will be featured at our January Stamp Club meeting, so if you aren't a member and want to come as a guest and check it out, you are more than welcome. Just let me know!
Okay, time to surf the blogs of all of the lucky Leadership goers. They have been not-so-secretly sharing sneak peaks from the upcoming catty and let me just say there are some really cool surprises in store. Stay tuned......

Live, Laugh & Love!

And I am so lovin' this card!
Is this designer series paper the bomb, or what? I cannot get enough of "Rasberry Tart"! I paired it with Rose Red CardStock, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and some more hearts that are stamped and punched from the "Love you Much" Bundle. Check out the dry embossing in the background....pretty cool, huh? Well this technique was done with CONTRABAND!!!!

That's right, a non-SU! product. How dare I? Well, these little babies, otherwise known as the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders work in the Sizzix Big Shot that Stampin' Up! sells.
Just one more reason to get that big shot!
And wouldn't it be cool if SU! offered a very similar item in the
upcoming Spring/Summer Catalog?
Ya just never know..........

P.S. The "Live, Laugh & Love" birthday stamp is from our "On Your Birthday" 12 piece stamp set. (Pictured above) It sells for $33.95 which means each stamp in the set costs less than $3.00 each? Can't find a deal like that at the "M" store!

Love You Much!

Here is a card that I made with new SU! supplies last weekend. Can you believe it? I actually sat down and designed and stamped a bunch of cards! That usually does not happen due to the other craziness going on in my house, but here it is. I will share a new card each day this week and most will be either Valentine or Birthday themed. This first one features the Love you Much stamp from the bundle of the same name. If you scroll down a post or two you will find more info on the bundle and the fab price that you can get it at for a limited time. Anyway, I also used our new "Rasberry Tart" Designer Series Paper. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this paper!!!!
I used to be a Soft Subtle kind of girl but I am totally breaking out of my color zone and I have been using more and more of the brighter colors. This paper has Kiwi Kiss, Cameo Coral, Real Red, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink elements and it looks super on this cardstock (Real Red). I stamped the CS with the "Boho Blooms" Background stamp in Real Red. The leaves on the scallop flower are 2 hearts from the punch that comes in the "Love you much" bundle and so is the Kiwi Kiss tiny heart that I stuck in the letter O. I added a few little dots with my handy-dandy Signo White Gel Pen (a must-have item) and sprinkled a little glitter on the little flowers stamped with "Pocket Silhouettes" in Regal Rose. I think it came together nicely, don't you?
Gotta go now, I have a sick hubby and daughter. I will post another card tomorrow.

Just buzzin' by....

As promised, here is the final swap from our Stamp Club Recipe Swap that we had in December. This adorable swap was made by Tia and she used the brand spanking new, not available until January 19, "Just Buzzin' By" stamp set! How cute is this? This set will be available in 15 short days....as soon as the Spring/Summer Catalog is released! Tia did a fantastic job (as always) with colors, placement and just the right amount of detail. If you would like the recipe for Poppy Seed Cake, just click the pic to make it larger and easier to see!

Hi everyone! No new projects to post just yet. I pulled 2 from my archives to share with you because I think they would make good Valentine's Day cards. They are both created with the "Always" stamp set, one of my all time faves! Both feature Kraft, Choc Chip, Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink SU cardstock as well as paper piercing. My plan for this weekend is to stamp projects with some brand new SU product and get them posted by Sunday night. Thanks for your patience, it has been a little crazy...my lower back went out on me and I haven't been able to sit in my stamping chair for a while. It feels better today, so I am going to try to get caught up on projects.
