I want to give a big fat MERCI to my friends and family members that came out to the Relay For Life at Ceres High School last Saturday.  You all did an amazing job walking the track, enjoying the booths and hanging out!  Thanks so much to Brenda, Diane, Ruby, Mom-in-law Debbie, Mom, Dad, Lindsey and Kayla.  Love you all!

This card uses my trusty favorite Eiffel Tower from "Chic Boutique".  I also used the fleur-de-lis image from "Friends 24~7" and added a little glitz with the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.  My color combo is Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.  This card is also available for purchase at Vintage Market in Turlock, or call me, I would be happy to show you and your friends how to make it at your own workshop or private class.

Swap from Ruby

Here is a swap that I received from Ruby at our last downline meeting at Kim's.  I love this set from the Summer mini, "Tropical Party". It is happy and festive and great for the summer.  I am so happy to say that I won enough gift certificates at the last meeting that I was able to redeem them for this set and the matching DSP, "Island Oasis".  Thanks so much to Kim for rewards, I can't wait to start using both of these products!

Downline Meeting Swap

I recently attended our monthly team meeting at my upline, Kim's house.  Our swap theme was something from the Summer Mini.  I chose to use the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set and the Silver Smooch Spritz.  This card is a total CASE of one that the very talented Sandi Maciver created and had on her blog recently.  The only thing I did to change it was to put the words in a different spot and to add the Smooch Spritz.  Notice the different kind of scallop border on the black piece.  That was made using the curly label punch, which is a pretty cool technique.  The color combo here is Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise, and Basic Black.  This was a simple card to make but I just loved how the colors contrasted each other.  I will share more swaps on my next few posts!

Downline Swap #4

Here is the final swap from our downline meeting and it was made by Ruby.  She also used the "Island Oasis" DSP and "Tropical Party" stamp set.  I love these colors and this new stamp set and I cannot wait to get mine! Ruby did a great job on her swap (as always) and I cannot wait to get all of these pages in my new scrapbook!

Downline Swap #3

Here is the 6x6 page swap that was made by Barbara.  Love the new "Tropical Party" stamp set and matching "Island Oasis" DSP.  These colors are so happy and bright.  I love how she cut out the flowers and placed them around the page.  Tomorrow I will share Ruby's page which was also made with this combination.

Downline swap #2

Here is the 6x6 scrapbook page swap made by friend and downline, Shelley Silva.  I love the vintage look of her page and what she did with the flowers and leaves.   I especially love the color combo as well. Great job, Shelley!  You can check out more of Shelley's work HERE.  I will share another downline page tomorrow, when I get back from the Boutique Crawl.

Downline meeting Swap #1

Last Saturday my downline and I gathered at Panera in Turlock for a Swap & Share meeting.  Our swap theme was to make a 6x6 scrapbook page and this was mine.  I love, love, love the new "Rough Type" Alphabet Stamp Set set from the new Summer Mini.  Getting this set unmounted is a must, so you can line up your letters on a single block to stamp a word or you can stamp the circle stamp that comes with the set, then stamp the letter inside and then punch it out with our 3/4" circle punch.  I did that and then lined them up on my page.  The vintage look of the typeset letters is right up my alley.  The color combo that I used for this page was Real Red, Bashful Blue, Always Artichoke and Whisper White.  I pulled out one of my favorite summer stamp sets, "Tart & Tangy" to add the strawberry and stamped the swirly blue strip with one of the images from "Elements of Style".  I can't wait to make many more projects with this color combo, and if you are coming to my Bright & Cheery card class on the 27th you will get to use the elements of this page to make a card.  Hope to see you there!

Stamp Club Project #3

Here is the final project from last weekend's stamp club gathering.  This is a favor that can hold a tea bag or a chocolate.  Super easy to make.  We used the new "Elements of Style" stamp set for the background, "Favorite Thoughts" for the words and old favorite, "Tart & Tangy" for the main image.  The color combo is a new favorite of mine, Bashful Blue, Real Red and Whisper White.  Tomorrow I will begin sharing projects from my downline's 6x6 page swap, also from last Saturday.  One of which is the same color combo as this project, can you guess who made it? :)

Stamp Club Project #2

This is the second project my Stamp Club ladies got to make this past Saturday, but theirs was Chocolate Chip and Tempting Turquoise.  This card is Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay.  I would have shared the other card, but BFF/downline Ruby stole it at my downline gathering after club, so you will just have to imagine this layout with those colors...LOL!  The image in Bermuda Bay is not stamped, it is one of Decor Element Stencils, which are great for home decor as well as cardmaking.  This particular stencil is part of a set called Elegant Trio.

May Stamp Club Project #1

The Stamp Tramps gathered for club on Saturday and this was one of the cards that they got to make.  This card features a couple of hot new items from the Summer Mini Catalog, which debuted on May 1st.  The wedding cake image and words are from the new set, "Blissful Bride".  The DSP is one of the patterns from the Presto Patterns set, which is awesome to use.  All of the sheets are white and embossed with designs that appear when you sponge or brayer on ink or spray with our new Smooch Spritz.  We sponged on Certainly Celery ink then went around the edges with Basic Black, to give the card a vintage look.  We also added our luxurious Black Satin Ribbon and topped it all of with a Filigree Flower Brad (free this month with the purchase of selected stamp sets).  The final touch was to round one corner of the card, just for a bit of whimsy.  This card is my original design and this color combo is one of my favorites.  I hope you like it too!

Mother's Day Tea Favors

These are some favors that we made for the Mother's Day Tea at Vintage Market on Saturday.  They are a super cute and very inexpensive little gift to give your party, wedding or shower guests and very simple to make.  We used the color combo of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss and Orchid Opulence

Some of the stamp sets used were: Elements of Style, Friends 24~7, Simple Friendship and Favorite Thoughts.  If you click the picture below to enlarge it, you can read the sentiment that was stamped inside the favor (from "Favorite Thoughts").  It went perfectly with the Tazo tea bags that we inserted into the favor pockets.

This was also a great opportunity to use up the clips from our retired Hodgepodge Hardware sets as well.    Wish I could have attended the event, I viewed the pictures on Facebook and it was set up beautifully.  You can check them out here: Vintage Market Tea

Happy Mother's Day!

To all of my wonderful friends that are mothers, grandmothers, or godmothers and those that have furry babies as well:

Have a fabulous Mother's Day!

More Chic Boutique for the Boutique!

Another card for Vintage Market.  In case you could not tell, this is my favorite stamp set.  Chic Boutique!  The color combo is Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.  The houndstooth paper is from the Sweet Pea DSP Stack, which I will miss!  I have a very busy week so you will probably only see a couple of new posts from me.  I have 2 demo meetings, one stamp club and 60 favors to make for a Mother's Day Tea and upcoming Boutique Crawl.  AND some items to sell for the Relay for Life on May 22nd in Ceres.  Unique Boutiques will be at the track walking and selling, so please come buy and see us!  We will be at Ceres High School.
