Poolside Benefit

On Friday night my friend Shelley and I set up a booth for a local vendor fair that was a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Many thanks to Michelle Bates-Faria for opening up her home and beautiful backyard for this wonderful event.  We brought our handmade paper goods as well as our catalogs and set up shop.  It was a lot of fun and we met some wonderful new people and tasted some delicious Jalepeno Peach Jam!  I had a very busy week staying up late creating cards and journals and preparing for the event.  Our booth came out very nice and our good friend, Diane, came out to hang with us.   The above card was one that I created just for the event and it is a favorite of mine.  I love the color combo of Sahara Sand (Haha-I didn't use Crumb Cake this time), Melon Mambo and Early Espresso.  I used the stamp sets "Friends 24~7" and "Flores Suaves" from the Spanish catalog.  I took some of these cards to Unique Boutiques yesterday as well.

Here is an assortment of my cards for sale.

Here were some journals that I made.  Love making these, so easy and they turned out great.

Our raffle prize was one of my journals and a beautiful card set that Shelley made with "Notable Ornate" and "Artistic Etchings".  You can view her card up close here: Shelley's Blog.
It was a great evening and Diane and I capped it off with Shrimp Quesadillas at Las Casuelas, yum!

Yesterday I had my Just Cards Express class and then headed out to dinner at Cool Hand Luke's and a movie with my girlfriends. It was a GREAT evening and the movie, "Eat, Pray, Love" was really good!  I love Julia Roberts and she was wonderful in this movie.
I will share some of my class cards later.  I am relaxing today and then working on some swaps for a HUGE downline meeting at Beverlee's next weekend.  I cannot wait to spend time with this awesome group of stampers.  Of course, I will share with you the wonderful swaps that I get in return.

Stamp Club Project #2

Another card with Aviary!  I added the new "Elegant Soiree" DSP and one of the awesome new Vintage Brads and Adhesive Pearls.  That is about all I can say tonight about this card, I have lots to do to prepare for Friday's Poolside Benefit here in Turlock.  If you have any questions, just shoot me an email!

Aviary Swap

Friday night my upline, Kim, had her monthly meeting and this was the swap that I made to trade with the girls.  I am so in love with this stamp set, "Aviary".  This design was one that I saw on the blog of Lyn Put.  I changed the layout just a bit (the flower and the sentiment).  The DSP is a from "Sunny Garden" and the color combo is Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  The little flower embellishment was made from the Flower Fusion Sizzlet, 5 Petal Punch and Paper Crimper.  I love the bright and cheery color combo of this project.  I made a few extra for Vintage Market and turned them into "Congrats on your new home" cards.  VM has quite a few birdcage items for sale and I thought this card would go nicely with them.
What do you think?

Hostess Club Project

Here is one of the cards from today's Hostess Club meeting.  It features "Artistic Etchings" (yes, again!) and the DSP is "Lap of Luxury".  The color combo is Crushed Concord, Blushing Bride and Very Vanilla.    It was a very simple card and I just added some Adhesive Rhinestone bling and our new Victoria Crochet trim (love this stuff).  I also used the following punches: Ticket Corner, 1 3/4" Circle and the new 2 3/8" Large Scallop Circle.  I sponged a little Crushed Concord around the edges and there you have it.  Makes a nice bridal shower card.  I will share the other 2 projects with you later in the week.  I will be stamping into the wee hours every night this week (starting tonight) as I have a vendor fair coming up and would like to have a good assortment in my booth.  If you are not busy, come out and see us.  I will be with Shelley and we will be out this Friday night.  You can find the info on the post below.  Hope you can come say "hi"!

Artistic Etchings meets Word Play

Here is a wedding card that I created for a class as well as Vintage Market.  The "happy I do day" comes from a great new sentiment set called "Word Play".  I also used my brand new Large Circle Scallop Punch and the upcoming 2.5" Circle Punch.  Man, I have been waiting a long time for a larger circle punch and I am so glad we have one in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog.  The embossed background was made using the Vintage Wallpaper Texturizing Folder and the ribbon is Rich Razzlebery Tafetta.  The color combo is Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.  I also added one of our medium Adhesive Rhinestones to the ring in the word "do".  This was a super easy card and I hope you like looking at it as much as I liked creating it!

Another card from Megan's workshop.

This is the 2nd card from Megan's workshop and it features one of my favorite stamp sets from the Summer Mini Catalog, "Tropical Party".  The DSP is "Island Oasis" and the color combo is Tempting Turquiose, So Saffron, Old Olive and Rose Red.  Perfect card for a summer birthday!

Another card using "Artistic Etchings".  This one was for my 3-4-6 class a few weeks ago.  Very simple to make and I am oh-so-happy that Baja Breeze is back!  One of my all time favorite SU colors.  I also used the new little scallop rectangle Clearlet for the Big Shot.  It just adds a nice touch to any card. I ran the Baja Breeze piece thru the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and added some Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon. What do you think of those little pears on the crown?  These are now available in 4 sizes and they are self stick!  Gotta love that! I am also whipping up a bunch of these cards for Vintage Market and Unique Boutiques as well.  It seems like everyone likes the crown image as much as I do!
