Chocolate bars in pretty packages!

So I had some left over kraft bags from Stampin' Up from last year.  They were the perfect size  in which to slide a Hershey bar.  As I am sure you have noticed, doilies are all the rage now, so I pulled a pack out of my stash and used them to decorate the fronts of my kraft bags.  I ran the kraft bags thru the Big Shot using a few different embossing folders (like Polka Dotted and Vintage Wallpaper). I wrapped the bars in some retired DSP from my stash, after scalloping the edges.  I cut scallops from various papers with my Big Shot and then added some punched flowers  and die cut butterflies to them with rhinestones and pearls in the centers.  Most of these items were created from scraps of card stock and DSP in my scrap basket.  The words "Just for you" came from the "Tea Shoppe" stamp set.

Just goes to show you what you can create when you go looking in your scrap basket!  These cute bags of chocolate goodness are perfect to add to your Mother's Day gifts or use for party or wedding favors.

Until next time!

A little gift for Mom

Created a few of these for Vintage Market.  They are little packets for Mom.  I used the Fancy Favor die and some retired paper from my stash as well as an image from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set.   I added tea bags in coordinating colors and a nice package of one of my fave snacks: Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies.  The flower is made with the Blossom Punch and attached to a candy stick.  This little care package is perfect to pair with a book for a cute little Mother's Day gift.  Mom can relaxed with a cup of tea and some yummy cookies while relaxing with her favorite book.

Speaking of books, I just finished a wonderful book by one of my favorite bloggers, Stephanie Nielson.  You might be familiar with Stephanie's story or her blog: http://nieniedialogues.com/.  She is an amazing woman and I wanna be just like her when I grow up...LOL.  Anyway, her story is miraculous and her life is spectacular, here is the link the her book if you are interested:

You're my type!

This card was inspired by one that I saw on Stampin' Pretty, the fabulous blog of Mary Fish!  This was one of the projects for our March Hostess Club Gathering and it was a hit. It features a great stamp set that is currently available in the Spring Mini Catalog: You're My Type.  I love this stamp set because it makes great cards for women or men. This particular design works for both.  The color combo is Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Pool Party.  I think the Pool Party Bakers Twine and the Mini Binder Clip add the perfect touches to the card.  What do you think?

Spring Banners!

Here are a couple of spring banners that I created for the shops that I have spaces in.  The owner of one of my favorite local restaurants ( La Mo Cafe in Turlock) asked me to make a banner for her Easter display so I went to my stash of retired DSP and pulled out the Sweet Pea Stack from a couple of years ago to look for color inspiration and found it with these patterns.  I liked what I designed for her so much that I kept the patterns and colors in mind when creating for the shops.  I used my favorite alphabet die set from SU, called Serif Essentials.  It is perfect for banners! Other SU dies used are: Beautiful Butterflies, Top Note, Scallop Circle.

Until next time!
