Feeling a little patriotic...

I have really been feeling the Patriotic/Americana look lately, so I cased a card that I pinned on Pinterest a few months back and decided to feature it at my May Hostess Club Gathering.  It was the card pictured on the right and it was a favorite of the ladies that stamped with me that day! The card on the left is my twist on the original idea, I liked the idea of stars on the tree and thought it would make a nice masculine version of the card.  Here are closer looks of each:

Sadly, both of these cards feature retiring product: Season of Friendship (Stamp Set), Sizzix Stars Die (for Big Shot), Oval All (Stamp Set), and the Cherry Cobbler Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  The First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper will be carrying over into the new catalog, as well as the Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Red Glimmer Paper and Brights DSP Stack (polka dotted pieces in Pacific Point Blue). If you would like to order the outgoing (or returning) products to make these cards, you can find them in my online store:
or contact me to place your order!

Until next time ~

Mother's Day Monday!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Mother's Day!  I know I did.  Got to spend time with my new Angels Camp family on Saturday and then with my Mom and my daughters yesterday.
Here are a few of the Mother's Day projects that I created in May, either for the shop, friends & family or classes.

I am so happy that our Twitterpated Designer Series Paper is going to be in the new 2012/2013 Catalog!  I love this paper and can't wait to use it with some of the fabulous new stamp sets that will be available on June 1st!  Thank goodness I sell Stampin' Up! to earn a little extra $$$ because my wish list from the new catty is LOOOOONG!! It also helps that I get a demo discount as well! If you place your $99.00 product order you can earn the discount as well as other perks (ask me how)!

Until next time ~

Summer Celebrations Class Projects!

Here are my projects from the recent Summer Celebrations Class that Ruby and I hosted a few Saturdays ago.  Our stampers had such a good time and we really enjoy getting together with these ladies because they are just so much fun.  Our theme this time was a little more masculine than usual, which was a nice change and our ladies seemed to like the change in projects.

The project above features "You're my type" stamp set, which is a new favorite.  I hope it carries over into the new catalog because I have so many ideas for this set.  I have made a couple of different styles of cards for Vintage Market and they sell really well there because my friends Kim and Caley make this really cool jewelry from vintage typewriter parts that they sell there and they were kind enough to place some of my cards in their jewelry case and BOOM, they started selling like crazy!

We always offer additional sentiments for our projects so our stampers can customize the cards to whatever they need.  I love the patriotic feel of the Congratulations card above, which is perfect for graduation, but some of our ladies made it into a birthday card for their husbands as well.  I already have a great 4th of July banner in mind that used the same elements as this card...can't wait to get started on it!

On the card above, I taught the ladies the reverse masking technique which was how we sponged the clouds through a mask punched from our largest circle punch.  It created a really cool effect for the card that showcased one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets: Up, Up & Away.  I am so glad that this set is definitely going to be in the next catalog.  I have lots more ideas for it as well.

Until next time~
