Feeling Sentimental....

I am kind of feeling sentimental today...on Thursday I gave my 2 week notice at the job that I have held for almost 17 years!  Why? Because the love of my life, Greg, has allowed me to become a FULL TIME Stampin' Up! demo and paper craft artists!  I am so lucky and blessed to be able to pursue my dream full time (and the lose the 1 hr each way commute that I have been driving 5 days a week)!  Soooo, you will definitely be seeing LOTS MORE activity from me on this blog....I have so many ideas and goals swirling in my head and now I will actually have the time to carry them out!  I am so excited!!

To start with, here is a card that I designed for last weekend's "For the Love of Stamping" class that Ruby and I hosted together. It features the brand new Sale-a-bration stamp set "Feeling Sentimental".  This very vintage stamp set will be available as a gift with purchase beginning January 22nd as part of the Sale-a-bration promotion that comes around this time every year.  With every $50.00 product order you get to pick one of the exclusive, limited edition items for the SAB brochure.

The Ferris wheel stamp is one of 4 stamps featured in this set and I thought it went perfectly with another new set : That's The Ticket, which coordinates with our ticket punch.  I also used 2 more SAB products: Sycamore Street DSP and the matching Sycamore Street ribbon/button pack.  You will also notice the background is the brand new Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I cut a piece of Pool Party Core'dinatons Card stock, ran it thru the Big Shot with the Embossing Folder then sanded it, using our sanding block.  This really made the clouds stand out.

Heart Magnets

Here are some heart magnets that I created from recycled cardboard and more of my DSP scraps.I just love the color combo of Cherry Cobbler, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  If you look closely at the 2 bottom pictures, you will see some of the very cool Designer Build a Brads that are available in the new Spring Mini Catalog.  I love these brads because they are a nice, big size and you can customize them to match any project!

Here, have a look!

Butterfly clothespin magnets!

A few more items that I created with my Stampin' Up! stash.  Our Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die has always been a fave of my and I will never tire of using it....here it is again on these cute clothespin magnets that I created using some scraps of DSP that I had laying around....the colors were perfect for Valentine's Day!  I gave the butterflies some sturdiness by gluing my card stock and DSP to a piece of that white cardboard that is used at the backer for our DSP packs.  I love when I can recycle packing materials.  I used our new small scallop circle punch and various brads to decorate the butterflies.  I added some small magnets to the pack of each pin using Crystal Effects...man, I just love that stuff....holds ANYTHING together.

Hope you get inspired, until next time ~

Love is in the air...

So I have just been a banner making fool this weekend! Here are some of the banners that I created for my new shop in Turlock, Emporium!  I love this printed paper - it is from the Festival of Prints Stack that was featured in our holiday mini catalog...it worked perfectly for my love themed projects for Valentine's Day!

The two top banners are accordian style, which are perfect for your dining room table or mantle.  The bottom two banners are the traditional hanging kind, which can be also put on a mantel, or your door or even on a wreath.  If you would like to learn how to make your own banners, contact me, I would love to teach you how!

Until next time ~
