Let's Scrap!

I have a GREAT stamp club that meets the second Saturday of every month, one that has evolved with many different members over the past 7 years and I love each and every gal that has joined me over time....we have become friends, some of us like sisters...we have laughed, cried, shared our lives as well as our crafty ideas.  This business has really brought some wonderful ladies into my life, most of them have become life long friends.

Because of the fellowship that stamping brings and now that I have more time, I have been motivated to starting a second club...this one focusing on scrap booking! I have to admit that I have been lacking on keeping my scrapbooks up to date, (I have many started) and what really started my whole passion for paper crafting was scrap booking...so I thought, I am gonna do this!  It will challenge me to come up with layouts for the club, but in doing so I will also be preserving memories for my family and showing others how to as well!

So I hope some of you will join me in creating this new endeavor.  I have planned the first gathering for Saturday, April 13th @ 10am.  We will meet at the Community Events Room at Raleys in Turlock for the Let's Scrap! Meet & Greet.  This will be a FREE casual gathering for all crafty girls that are interested in finding out more about how a Scrapbook Club works as well as getting a sneak peek project in which I show you how you CAN create beautiful layouts for your books while using Stampin' Up! products.  Scrap booking does not have to break the bank, and I will show you MANY ways in which you can use stamps, punches, embellishments to create the scrapbook that reflects your  style and personality!  And please, please bring what you are currently working on so we can all be inspired!

Another Special Card

Not too long ago my Stampin' Up! sisters and I gathered at Beverlee's house in Tracy for a Spring Catalog Preview Party.  It was so much fun and I got to spend the afternoon stamping and catching up with friends.  It was so much fun! I brought gifts for 2 of my upline/mentors, Kim and Beverlee,  because I wanted to thank them for being so supportive and inspiring to me.  I gave them these necklaces from the Origami Owl tagged line.  The charm reads "I will", the tag reads "inspire" and then I also added a stone representing their birth month.

The picture above is a shot of the necklace that I mailed to Karen, because I did not know she was going to be at Beverlee's that day.  These 3 ladies have always been a huge inspiration to me as well as very positive role models, so I wanted to thank them for it.  Well, a few days later I received this beautiful card in the mail from Beverlee with some very kind and inspirational words on a note inside.  That note hangs today on my inspiration board in my office and I look at it and this card every day and smile.

Look at this card!! Just beautiful! I love the Tea Party Designer Series Paper and I love banners, so this was the perfect card for me!  Thanks so much, Bev!

Until next time ~

This was a stamp club project from a few months back and I had so many extra packets cut that I decided to put them all together and make them for Emporium.  The phrase "Keep Calm and Carry On" has been one that is relevant in my life lately, because of the current trials and tribulations with my anxiety ridden 14 year old daughter...sigh...but I will do as the bookmark says!

Until next time ~

Sycamore Street Eiffel Tower!

I love this color and pattern combo! I was inspired by a card created by Kristin Moore over at Sunshine, Smiles and Stamps so I had to create one too!  I thought the patterns had a regal look to them so I used the Eiffel Tower image from Artistic Etchings as my focal point.  The Designer Series Papers (Sycamore Street DSP) and the Island Indigo ribbon are both new to the Stampin' Up! lineup, and are each FREE with a $50 purchase due to the fantastic Sale-a-Bration event going on now until March 22nd.  This is a sweet and simple card so, of course I created many more for my shops!

Until next time ~

A Special Card

Tonight I want to share a special card with you.  This card was created and given to me by my good friend and Stampin' Up! upline, Kim.  She created this card to celebrate my big move from working a "traditional" full time job to becoming a full time SU Demo and paper craft artist.  This beautiful card features the chalkboard method, which has been something that I have dying to try, so I will give it a go this week.

Kim has always been very supportive of my SU business and is a wonderful friend and always an inspiration.  She is one of the many wonderful people that I have met along the way on my Stampin' Up! journey.  The friendships that I have made are priceless.  Thanks, Kim!

If you would like to see more of Kim's beautiful creations, you can stop by her blog:

Tell her I sent you!

Baby cards!

Here are a few baby cards that I created for my shops! The one on the bottom was one that I designed for Tia's baby shower.  Our Moving Forward stamp set is great for creating baby boy cards and for every stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $2.00 to the Ronald McDonald House!

Until next time ~

Sharing some Valentine Love

Still need some ideas for your Valentine's Day cards? Well, here are some more ideas from my last two classes!

Pop Up Posies!

I just love the new Pop Up Posies Kit! Ruby and I used it to decorate these large chocolate bars for our  stampers at the last class.  It made gift giving so easy!  I love the colors in the kit, the flowers that come in it and especially these Crumb Cake Embossed Labels.  You even get the Just For You stamp as well.

We added some of the new Sale-a-bration paper because the colors went so well.  This is some really beautiful paper and you receive it FREE with your $50.00 purchase!

Here is a look at what comes in the kit and some additional ideas:

Let me know if you would like to order yours today!

Until next time ~

Wordless Wednesday

January Stamp Club Gathering Project

And yet another class project..

Here is the third card from my recent "For the Love of Stamping" class.  I think the Dress Up Framelit Dies are one of my favorite new items from the Spring Catalog.  My stamping style is vintage and the dress form especially expresses that vintage look.  Here I added a little texture to the dress with the Lacy Brocade EF and topped it off with a sash made with Very Vanilla Seam Binding and one of the flowers snipped from our 5/8" Flower Trim.  I took the flower and blotted it a bit on the Raspberry Ripple ink pad, just to die the edges a little and I love the way it turned out.  The More Amore DSP was cut with our new Oval Framelets and the words are from a SAB set called "Vintage Verses".  You can earn this set (and many others) for FREE with your $50.00 product order.

Until next time ~

Another class project!

Here is another card from my recent class "For the Love of Stamping".  This card features the new set "Collage Curios" as well as our Soda Pop Tops (bottle caps).  I love the bottle caps, when you roll them through the Big Shot, they go through so smoothly and flatten out so easily....it is hard not to use them on EVERYTHING!  I have ordered a ton of these...and I love how you get 2 sizes to work with...I have many ideas flying through my head and hopefully now that I have the time to carry them out you will see them soon!  The strips of DSP are form More Amore....love the soft subtle colors in this pack of paper.  Stampin' Up! always does a fabulous job of coming up with the most gorgeous color combos...makes it really easy for us stampers.  The card base is made up of Natural White Card Stock, which is my new go to for white cards...love the sturdiness and the weathered look of it.  I accented the bottle cap by mounting it on our medium sized scallop punch and then mounting that on our Decorative Label Punch (if you look closely, you will see that is has been embossed with the Wood Grain EF).  I notched out the srips of DSP with one of our square punches...any one will do...to give it the bannered look and did the same for the Happy Birthday strip as well.  I sponged everything with Chocolate Chip and colored my little hot air balloon with Pool Party and Primrose Petals ink, using my Blender Pens.

Here is a closer look at the Collage Curios stamp set (available in Clear or Wood mount)
