Gettin' Crafty For The Fall Class Project #2

Here is another one of my projects from our recent fall class. This one is a case of a cute little treat holder designed by Dawn Olchefske over at DO Stamping with Dawn.  She has a great video tutorial, you can check out HERE

It was so easy to make, so mass producing for a class or church group or even a craft fair would be simple.  As Dawn states in her video, you can get the 6 packs of Chiclets at Big Lots for just $1.00 and that is exactly where I found them.  I did change it up a little by embossing the belly band with the Chevron EF, adding some Halloween Washi Tape and changing out the black label.

Here is a shot of the inside.  Super cute, huh?
Thanks for stopping by!

Gettin' Crafty For The Fall Project #1

Here is the first of my projects from our September 7th class! The color combo for this card is Always Artichoke, Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I used 3 of the Deco Label Framelits, the Blossom and Pansy Punches, as well as our smallest Scallop Circle Punch. The leaves are from the Secret Garden Framelits. I also used the Woodgrain BG stamp for the card base, the Whisper White piece and the leaves.  I used the Woodgrain Embossing Folder for the Pistachio label. The Coral flower was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots EF.  The banner is a 6 inch piece of Cantaloupe DSP (From the In Color Stack) that has been notched out with the Hexagon Punch. I topped of the center of the flower with Cantaloupe Boutique Embellishment.

I thought this card turned out really nice, I kind of went out of my comfort zone for color.  I rarely use Always Artichoke but I thought it would be the perfect contrast for the Pistachio and Cantaloupe. It worked out pretty well, don't you think?

Until next time ~

Gifts for our guests!

Here is the first of a few posts about my September 7th class, "Gettin' Crafty For The Fall".
These are the gifts that Ruby and I created for our guests.  We love our Stamp Tramps so much that we always give them a gift just for coming to our classes.  It is a nice way of showing appreciation to the lovely ladies that take the time to come stamp with us and it also provides them with an additional idea!

These cool boxes are available in the SU Holiday Catalog and are so easy and fun to decorate.  They come with a round peek-a-boo window and white scallop design so all you really have to do is add some embellishments and put whatever goodies inside that you wish. We decided to make a Harvest Mix of roasted peanuts and candy corn and package it in our cello bags and put it inside the boxes.  I brought this mix to class last fall and everyone went crazy over it, so I knew it would go over BIG this year.

We decided to use the Gift Bow Bigz Die to embellish our boxes.  A lot of our ladies had not seen it in action yet, so they were impressed with how cute the bows came out.  They are super easy to make, too! I did my boxes in a fall color scheme and Ruby did hers in Halloween and I think they both came out so cute!

Here is what the box looks like before we decorated them. Here is the info on the boxes, should you decide to order them:

Let's Scrap September Project

This morning was my monthly scrapbooking class - Let's Scrap! Here is the project that I shared with my Stamp Tramps. It is a new spin on an old fave. The Clear Envelope Photo Book (or album or brag book, it has been called many things over the years...LOL). I first found this project  on Splitcoaststampers many years ago but every time I teach it to a new group of gals, they just love it. I think it is so well received because it is so simple and inexpensive to make, especially for a gift. You can find a complete tutorial on SplitCoastStampers: HERE.

The color combo for this project is Early Espresso, Pistachio Pudding, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo and Crisp Cantaloupe.  These are all colors in the Designer Series Paper called Venetian Romance...one of my favorites.  I used 4 different Embossing Folders on this project: Pretty Prints (on the heart), Perfect Polka Dots (front cover), Needlepoint Border (on the spine of the album), Woodgrain (on the leaf).  The words are from Yippee Skippee, the flowers are stamped with Flower Shop on more pieces of Venetian Romance and punched with the Pansy Punch and the Chevron Ribbon is Island Indigo.  I also added some Tangerine Tango Candy Dots in their bases.  The inside of the album is made up of 6 clear envelopes which will hold 12 photos. I have a few kits left from class if you would like to make your own.  They are $12.50 and include instructions.

Until next time ~

Once Upon a Theme...

Happy Tuesday!
It's little old me.  I have been MIA from blogging world for a while because I have been a crafting tornado! I have been working around the clock creating things for my new shop space at Once Upon a Theme Vintage Boutique in Manteca.  Here are just a few of the things that I have been working on. Of course they all have a fall theme. I can't wait to get these things in my space and for the whole shop to come together.  We have some very talented artisans in this shop and it is just going to be fabulous!

Above: various banners I have created.

A sign reflecting my motto!

Welcome sign for fall.

Some wine bottle tags for your Thanksgiving events!

Until next time ~
