A couple of weekends ago, my Stampin' Up! demo sisters and I gathered at our upline, Beverlee's studio to share our projects that we designed using product from the upcoming catalog. It is so much fun, because each gal brings 2 shoe boxes and we re-create their wonderful projects! This set of tags was one of the projects that I designed for the occasion.
I used the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder, Bitty Butterfly & Elegant Butterfly Punches, Modern Label Punch, Large Adhesive Pearls, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Crochet Trim, Linen Thread and the brand new Very Vintage Designer Buttons. My color combo is Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe and Very Vanilla. The words are from a new exclusive hostess set called "Express Yourself" which has 12 very pretty sentiments in it.
I hope you will join me for my Summer Stamp-a-rama Class on June 8th, where you will get to play with many new products and designs and you will receive a special gift. BONUS: all attendees of this class will also have exclusive entry into our Garage Sale. Ruby and I are cleaning out our craft rooms and bringing retired stamps, accessories, ink pads and paper to sell at garage sale prices! This sale will be set up and happen during the class, so make sure to enroll now if you would like a spot!
Here is a sneak peek project that I made using the outgoing Artistic Etchings stamp set (one of my all time faves ~ I will never part with it) and 3 of the new 2013-2014 In-Colors. This projects was featured at last weekend's Spring Fling 2 event and our stampers loved it! The color combo is Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate! Love, love, love the new colors and this shade of gray stamps BEAUTIFULLY and compliments so many colors. Also featured are the new Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder and the Quadrafancy DSP. This picture does not do justice to either. This embossing folder impression is beautiful from either side. The coordination DSP is so bright and cheery and just makes me happy! Did you notice that cute little label over to the right? That is the new stamp set "Label Love" and I punched it out with the coordinating Artisan Label Punch. I also used these two items to create the gifts that I gave to our guests (see below).
Also, how about that oval frame? Got the idea from fellow California demo, Patty Bennett...you can find the instructions here: Patty Stamps Blog. It is a great technique using 2 of our most popular framelits. Check it out!
Here are the super simple but super cute tags that I made for my stampers and check out the cute little tin that I decorated to hold them! I got these tins a few years back at convention and I have been hoarding them ever since, not wanting to part with them, but these tags fit in them perfectly so I knew I had to share them with my favorite girls!
I think that these tags would make a great class project, especially if you have a really cute container to put them in! Check out the one below that I decorated for them:
The DSP is more of the new design, Quadrafancy and the sentiment in the center of the flower "Made just for you" is from a stamp set that came out last year and will carry over to the new catalog. It is called Creatively Yours and is perfect for handmade projects and includes the SU! trademark stamp which complies with the SU! angel policy, so you can use it if you are selling your handmade projects. Here is what the set looks like:
This set sells for just $18.95 and is item# 122610.
I hope my extra long post did not bore you today, but I just had so much to share. Stay tuned for more projects from our recent Spring Fling 2!
Here is one of my Mother's Day Card designs. The color combo is Island Indigo, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals. The featured stamp set is Papaya Collage and the word is from Delightful Dozen. These cards are on sale now at Vintage Market!
